8 Powerful SEO Tips To Boost Any Website Ranking
Search engine optimization can be like black magic to a new website owner, but the search engines are just computer programs that try to organize the web, and if you play by the rules, you can succeed in your search engine marketing efforts.
(This hub is a small chapter taken from the Internet Wealth System, the wealth mentoring program for new website webmasters.)
Anyone that wants instant web site traffic simply heads over to a search engine, and registers to buy pay per click (paid) advertising, so when people search, their website gets listed. It can add up to quite a bit of money when you use ppc traffic.
If you do some search engine optimization, you can get the search engines to like your pages more, and then they will list them in the organic results (the results people see when they search).
Google has this thing called a quality score, which is measured by something called Page Rank. Not even Larry Page knows how it is calculated, but I can show you some simple steps you can take to get higher search engine results and higher Page Rank.
Does that sound cool? It's easy stuff, and let's get into it straight away.
1. Have other sites link to your pages using keywords.
This just means that other sites have a link to your site, and the text people click is a keyword that others search for on the search engines.
A fantastic way to get a lot of these links is to write an article and submit it to the article banks on the web. There are thousands of them, and the more that get your article, the more likely other websites will syndicate your article, and include that link back to your website, with the keyword you have chosen.
2. Make sure your keyword is in the title tag.
The title tag is what you read at the very very top left of your browser. Make sure your keyword shows up there.
3. Put your keyword in your headline.
Your headline is the big text at the top of your page (normally). Your keyword should be in your headline.
4. Include similar keywords on your web page.
This means your page should be meaningful, and contain related words to whatever you are discussing.
5. Remove the programming jargon from your main html file.
Get the programming mumbo jumbo out of your html files, and put it in another file. Things like javascript and "css" mess up the search engine spiders that come and index your pages, so put that stuff on other files, and include it in one small line of code. That way, there is no chance of messing up the bots when the come to visit.
6. Use fully qualified links to internal pages.
This means instead of linking to flowers.html, you should link to the full url, like this: http://www.yourdomain.com/flowers.html. This makes the search engines visit your other pages, and list them in their results.
7. Submit To Directories
There are hundreds, maybe even thousands of websites that are simply a collection of other websites. These are called directories, and the most famous of all of them is Yahoo. It costs $299 to submit your site to Yahoo, but you can manually submit your site to thousands of other directories for free. Others, like JoeAnt cost just a litle, but are very important for getting good rankings in the search engines.
8. Keep your website fresh.
Frequent updates means your site is alive and dynamic, and this will cause the search engine spiders to come often, and keep you listed high in their results, since you have the latest, most important publications.
Put these tips into action, and watch how it improves your results, but in your listings in the search engines, and in the extra web site traffic it creates. SEO is easy, once you know the simple steps to take - so take a step now.
When you apply straight forward search optimization processes with the other winning techniques of the Internet Wealth System, you can earn a fortune online.

Michelle shows us how she got a top ranking on a fairly popular term, and she did it using free software sites like conduit.com, and then submitting information about this software to trusted software directories. This stuff is covered in the Internet Wealth System.
